Salon Policies/Terms & Conditions

In order to maintain a high-quality service and a pleasant environment for both clients and staff, Mirror Mirror Beauty Ltd set’s out the below policies and terms & conditions which you as a client agree to adhere to when making a booking or purchase by phone, email, social media or Fresha:

Cancellations/Reschedules

We kindly request that clients notify us at least 24 hours before an appointment if they wish to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations/reschedules inside this period will be subjected to a 10% charge of the appointment value.

No-Shows

Where a client does not attend an appointment and makes no attempt to inform the salon beforehand there will be a charge of 30% of the value of that appointment payable to the salon to cover the cost of lost income. This is known as a ‘no-show’.

Patch Testing

The following treatments require a patch test at least 48hrs before an appointment:

 

  • LVL Lashes

  • Brow Lamination

  • All forms of Tint

  • IPL Hair Removal & Skin Rejuvenation

 

If a client has had the relevant treatment or a patch test for it at Mirror Mirror Beauty in the last 6 months then no test is required. Please make sure you contact the salon if you need a patch test.

Contraindications/Medication/Medical/Allergies

Please be aware that as a responsible salon we take client health & safety very seriously. As a result, there are certain conditions, medications and allergies which may preclude clients from certain treatments with us.

 

Clients must make us aware of any of the following prior to treatment:

 

  • Allergies (please inform us before booking or visiting)

  • Medical conditions new & old

  • Any current or recent medications

  • Physical conditions

 

We ask this so that we are able to keep clients safe but also to offer a comfortable experience.

 

We also recommend that if you are taking medication, are postoperative, pregnant or have a medical condition, that you consult your doctor before embarking on any treatment or course.

Age Limits

Due to insurance and safety reasons, there are certain treatments we offer that have age limits, these are as follows:

 

Under 18’s cannot have – Peels, Intimate Waxing, Microneedling, IPL, Freezepen & any other treatment involving needles or blades

 

Under 16’s cannot have – LVL Lashes, Brow Lamination

 

Under 14’s cannot have – Spray Tans

 

We are able to offer the majority of our general beauty treatments to minors as long as a parent or guardian is present.

Appointments/Treatments

The following list contains general advice and policy information regarding appointments & treatments:

 

  • We do not offer soak off of polish that was not applied at Mirror Mirror Beauty.

  • We kindly request that clients arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their treatment time.

  • We do not recommend any waxing or facials directly before or after any form of heat treatment or spray tanning.

  • We suggest that clients pay for their manicure prior to treatment to avoid any damage to polished nails.

  • We cannot perform any form of pedicure on clients suffering from viral or fungal conditions such as Athlete’s Foot or Fungal Nail.

  • Waxing and tanning cannot be performed on the same day.

  • Body exfoliation and tanning cannot be performed on the same day as we do not have shower facilities.

  • Forms of exfoliation such as Peels, waxing, microdermabrasion must be separated by a gap of at least 7 days.

  • Treatment memberships must be paid for upfront and in full.

General Salon Policy

  • We request that clients do not bring children along with them to appointments.

  • When booking an appointment for longer than 90 minutes we must ask for a 50% deposit to secure the treatment as longer appointment times are in high demand.

  • On evenings and Saturdays our front door may be locked if our therapists are performing massage or facial treatments, this is to keep staff and clientele safe.

  • All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate and are subject to change without prior notice. The range of treatments is subject to availability.

  • Please ensure mobile phones are switched off or on silent so that they do not disturb the relaxation of others as well as yourself.

  • Please be aware that we will always do our utmost to make your experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible but we cannot be held accountable for noise & disturbance from outside the salons control. In busier periods the salon may also emit more natural noise from clients and staff going about their treatments, any noise & disturbance generated by this will be kept to a minimum, if this does occur, we apologise for an inconvenience caused and will aim to rectify the situation.​

  • Please note that on some occasions the products we use in salon will not be exactly as stated in treatment descriptions, this is because of seasonal variations and supplier availability, replacement products will be of the same quality.

  • Please note that appointment timings include arrival, product choice, consultation, comfort preparation and departure along with the actual treatment.

  • By booking an appointment with the salon you agree to have your contact information stored on our booking system database. For more information on how we handle data please see our privacy policy here.

  • Mirror Mirror Beauty is a non-smoking environment, including our surroundings.

  • Mirror Mirror Beauty Salon cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or mislaid belongings.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are sold with a 6-month validity period which is detailed on the back of the voucher and on the voucher receipt.

They can be redeemed against both goods and services at the salon during that period.

They cannot be redeemed for cash or be used to purchase another voucher.

 

Mirror Mirror Beauty may offer a gesture of goodwill in place of an expired voucher where there are fair and reasonable circumstances under which a voucher could not be used within its validity period.
